Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255

We can all help prevent suicide. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.

211 Social Services Hotline

211 is available for all Milwaukee area residents can be called at no charge 24 hours a day. The service is similar to the 911 network that can be called in case of police, fire, and medical emergencies. Operators will provide callers with information on a wide variety of non-emergency family, financial, health and social service issues.

Vivent Health

Previously known as the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Vivent is Wisconsin's largest and fastest growing HIV health care system. Through its integrated medical, dental and mental health clinics along with its pharmacy and dedicated social services that include food pantries, a legal program, and social work case management, more than 3,300 HIV patients in Wisconsin gain the health care and social services they need for long-term survival with HIV disease.

The mission of the Brady East STD Clinic is to provide quality, professional sexually transmitted disease diagnosis and treatment as well as HIV/AIDS prevention counseling and testing in a manner that is sensitive to the sexual orientation and gender identity of our clients.

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services

We are the region's only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. In Milwaukee and throughout the state, we provide kids and their families a wide range of care and support - everything from routine care for ear aches  or sore throats to life saving advances and treatment options.

FORGE

FORGE is a national transgender anti-violence organization, founded in 1994. Since 2009, we have been federally funded to provide direct services to transgender, gender non-conforming and gender non-binary survivors of sexual assault. Since 2011, FORGE has served as the only transgender-focused organization federally funded to provide training and technical assistance to providers around the country who work with transgender survivors of sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, and stalking.

Holton Street Clinic

Holton Street Clinic's mission is to provide specialized healthcare to all populations with actual or perceived sexually transmitted infections through consultation, testing, treatment, and follow-up with compassion and understanding in a respectful and confidential manner. 

 

MKE LGBT Community Center

The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center is dedicated to serving the needs of LGBTQ people and to making the Greater Milwaukee area safer and more inclusive. We focus on anti-violence, healthy relationships, counseling, Youth & Elder Adult programming and more. Our Center’s resources include a lending library with over 2000 LGBT titles, meeting space for over 100 groups during the year, computer/internet access and referrals.
 

Milwaukee County Child and Family Services

The Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services (DMCPS) works with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children. With its many community partners, DMCPS provides services to families in crisis that help keep children safely in the home. When it is necessary, DMCPS looks to foster and adoptive families to provide appropriate temporary and permanent homes for children who cannot live with their parents.

OCHC mission is to provide the highest quality health care and support services to the most vulnerable people in the Greater Milwaukee Area: the homeless, those experiencing extreme poverty and the uninsured.

Founded in 1973 after the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization. Uniting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) with families, friends, and allies, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy.

Project Q

Whether you’re thinking about coming out, hoping to connect with other LGBT+ young people or simply want to make new friends, the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center offers programming specifically geared toward youth, ages 13 to 24, through Project Q.

Our comprehensive health services include adult and pediatric medicine, behavioral health services, social services, women’s health, HIV prevention and treatment, STI testing, and an array of other supplemental programs for our patients.
